El 20 de septiembre se celebró en el Nokia Theatre la 67 edición de los premios Emmy 2015. En ellos el anfitrión de la gala fue Andy Smaberg de Saturday Night Live o Brooklyn Nine Nine. Durante la ceremonia, que fue más lenta de lo habitual, pudimos ver momentos muy emotivos y muchas sorpresas durante la noche.
Sin duda, la ganadora de la noche fue Game of Thrones que se hizo con casi todos los grandes premios de la noche en drama que fueron: Mejor Drama, Mejor de actor de Drama premio otorgado a Peter Dinklage, Mejor guion de drama para David Benioff y D. B. Weiss por el capítulo “Mother´s Mercy” y Mejor dirección de Drama a David Nutter por el mismo capítulo.
Por otra parte, Mad Men se despidió de la pequeña pantalla sin mucho éxito, aunque Jon Hamm se hizo, al fin, con el deseado Mejor actor de Drama por su papel de Don Draper. Y Viola Davis ganó el premio a la Mejor actriz de drama, siendo la primera afroamericana en conseguirlo.
La cadena HBO destacó en casi todos los galardones pues en comedia ganó Veep que fue premiada con: Mejor Comedia, Mejor actriz de comedia para Julia Louis-Dreyfus y Mejor actor de reparto de comedia para Tony Hale.
En tanto a miniseries también la HBO resultó ganadora pues su serie Olive Kitteridge destacó frente a las otras con seis premios, como American Horror Story que suele ser la gran triunfadora de esta sección.
